Join the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health as an Event Coordinator and play a key role in supporting a wide range of events that support a world-class academic and healthcare mission. In this position, you will lead the planning and coordination of a wide range of events, bringing people together in meaningful and engaging ways.

Additonal Information:
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location. Candidates must be available to support evening and weekend events as needed.
The work schedule is flexible and will be determined at the time of hire.
This position requires heavy lifting/moving up to 50lbs.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Assists with planning and the creation of promotional materials and resources for events
- Greets customers/guests, assists with registration, answers questions, and refers complex issues to appropriate entities
- Monitors and processes event related transactions and event data and records
- Schedules logistics and secures resources for all aspects of events including space, vendors, and staff; and coordinates details and resolves operational issues
- Communicates with customers to determine event details and requirements, evaluates requests, recommends service plans and pricing, and provides status updates

Compensation:
The starting salary for the position is $24.80/hour; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:
At least 1 year of professional experience in event planning
Experience providing customer service, administrative support, or similar
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience scheduling and organizing complex event logistics with attention to detail.
Experience with digital communications, event registration, and survey creation.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
