THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports events at the Farm Show Complex by assisting with setup, maintenance, cleaning, and general facility operations. You will help ensure that events run smoothly and that visitors enjoy a safe and well-maintained environment. As an Event Services Operations Staff member, you will perform the following duties:

  • Event Setup: Arrange tables, chairs, stages, signs, barriers, and other equipment for events
  • Facility Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, wash windows, and remove trash and debris from buildings and grounds
  • Livestock Support: Assemble, clean, and disassemble pens, cages, and stalls for various animals
  • Grounds Care: Maintain outdoor areas by removing debris, clearing snow, and keeping walkways clean
  • Equipment Handling: Use basic tools, move heavy items, and load or unload supplies and materials
  • Customer Assistance: Interact with visitors and staff in a professional manner while supporting event needs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • FREE on-site parking
  • Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
  • Work hours are 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Thursday - Monday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. 
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
