Position Summary:
The EVS Attendant is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all assigned areas of the property, including public spaces, restrooms, offices, back-of-house corridors, and operational zones. This position ensures that all areas are presented in a clean, safe, and professional condition in accordance with established health, safety, and service standards. The EVS Attendant follows daily work assignments from the EVS Supervisor, responds to cleaning calls and service requests, and assists in creating a welcoming environment for guests and team members. This position plays a key role in supporting overall facility operations and reports directly to the EVS Supervisor.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned areas of the property in accordance with health, safety, and presentation standards.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces using manual and powered equipment.
- Clean and restock restrooms, trash receptacles, and other high-traffic zones.
- Remove debris and transport waste to designated disposal or recycling areas.
- Refill supplies including paper products, soap, and sanitizers as needed.
- Operate cleaning tools and equipment safely and in accordance with training.
- Respond promptly to service calls or requests for support from Supervisors or other departments.
- Report any unsafe conditions, spills, damages, or needed repairs.
- Complete daily work assignments thoroughly and efficiently.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow directions, complete tasks thoroughly, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with standard cleaning procedures, equipment, and safe chemical handling.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Clear and courteous communication skills when interacting with guests and team members.
- Ability to remain flexible and responsive to changing priorities or emergency requests.
- Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience in custodial, housekeeping, or environmental services preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, including passing a background investigation.
- Must possess a valid California driver's license and be insurable.
Physical Requirements:
- All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity and physical ability to operate cleaning equipment and perform job-related tasks.
- Must be able to work on feet for extended periods and perform repetitive physical movements.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, second-hand smoke, and varying indoor temperatures is expected.
Work Conditions:
Work is primarily performed indoors throughout the casino property, including public areas, restrooms, offices, and back-of-house zones. Conditions may include exposure to cleaning chemicals, second-hand smoke, noise, and varying temperatures. The role involves constant walking, standing, and performing repetitive tasks. Occasional access to storage areas, loading docks, or mechanical spaces may be required. Frequent interaction with guests, team members, and other departments is expected.
