THE POSITION
The Executive Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth functioning of the COO's office. This position provides advisory and consultative assistance to the COO and offices within Operations, including Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing and Merchandising. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational judgment, anticipates executive needs, manages priorities independently, and ensures seamless coordination of projects, communications, and confidential information in a fast-paced retail environment.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position plays an important role in helping the COO manage the daily operations while conferring with top officials on highly sensitive or controversial issues and resolving problems under the COO's purview. In this role, you will perform the following duties.
- Liaison Activities: Serve as a bridge between the COO, members of the Board, Board Secretary, executive staff, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Research Tasks: Conduct research on complex operations issues, prepare written reports, and develop recommendations.
- Project Oversight: Coordinate studies and projects involving multiple programs, ensure projects stay on track, and provide leadership status updates and implementation plans.
- Program Analysis: Analyze programs, policies, procedures, and financial information as they relate to retail operations in order to assess efficiency, develop solutions, and make recommendations.
- Legislation Review: Review proposed legislation, analyze the impacts on retail programs and operations, and provide feedback.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours will vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. This position currently works in the headquarters office two-three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six years of professional experience in administrative management or staff work, three of which must have been in a large public agency; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university supplemented by graduate work in public administration to the level of a Master's Degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have administrative management experience in a retail operations environment.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Prior experience working with executives.
- Ability to think strategically.
- Project management experience.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
