Ignite your passion for payments innovation by leading customer-centric development, inspiring solutions, and shaping the future of small business payables with your strategic vision and influence.

As an Executive Director in the Banking Payments team, you will be a senior leader responsible for driving the evolution of payables products and infrastructure — including ACH, payroll payments, and modernization initiatives. You will work in close partnership with the Small Business Banking team to ensure payables solutions are aligned with the needs of small business clients, delivering innovative, reliable, and scalable payment capabilities.

Job responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets for ACH and payroll payments infrastructure as the primary product owner for Small Business Payables.
  • Partner closely with the Small Business Banking team to understand client needs, align product strategy, and deliver integrated payables solutions that drive value.
  • Lead the entire product life cycle for payables solutions, from planning and execution to future development, continuously adapting to market trends, regulatory changes, and client needs.
  • Drive modernization efforts by championing new technologies, payment rails, and process improvements to enhance speed, reliability, and client experience.
  • Coach and mentor the product team on best practices in payments innovation, market research, prototyping, solution generation, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Own product performance and invest in enhancements to achieve business objectives, including cost efficiency, feature development, reusability, and reliability.
  • Partner with technology, operations, risk, compliance, and sales to ensure seamless delivery, risk management, and regulatory compliance across all payables products.
  • Champion a culture of continuous innovation and foster collaboration across teams to deliver groundbreaking solutions for small business clients.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 8 years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering payments products, projects, or technology applications in banking or financial services.
  • Extensive knowledge of the payments product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics, with a focus on ACH, payroll, and real-time payments.
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions, including technology, operations, and risk.
  • Deep understanding of payments infrastructure, regulatory environment, and industry trends impacting small business payables.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Recognized thought leader within the payments or banking industry.
  • Experience with modernization initiatives, real-time payments, and emerging payment technologies.
  • Strong track record of delivering innovative, client-centric payment solutions at scale.
