This position works at the Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center.

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

Minimum: $16.00

Qualifications:

- Obtain American Red Cross or American Heart Association Certification in Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED, and First Aid within 30 days of employment. Training offered through Rec Well.
- Ability to balance academic and job responsibilities.
- Attend all trainings and meetings.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Ability to recognize and use basic tools such as screwdrivers and pliers.
- An eye for detail, willingness to work with your hands and a positive attitude.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Within the Division of Recreation & Wellbeing, the Student Maintenance position is responsible for completing preventative maintenance tasks and assigned work orders in Rec Well Facilities. This position is essential to ensuring that all our members and guests experience safe equipment and facilities.
In this role you will:
- Learn to operate all tools, equipment, and machinery safely.
- Fulfill assigned work orders and document service completed.
- Maintain equipment through completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
- Walkthrough facilities to notice and address maintenance issues.
- Work as a part of a team while staying motivated.
- Diligently complete assigned trainings.
- Maintain attention to detail throughout various projects.
- Provide clear communication regarding availability and attendance for work shifts.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift 50lbs
