About this role

FamilySearch exists to create inspiring experiences that bring joy to all people as they discover, gather, and connect their families - past, present, and future. That purpose extends far beyond a single interest or hobby. It is about identity, belonging, and the profound human need to know where you come from and who you are connected to.

This is a paid internship at one of the world's most reputable platforms dedicated to family history and human connection, with a worldwide presence and a community of millions. No prior knowledge of family history is required, only a genuine passion for uniting people and the drive to communicate that in ways that move a global audience to act.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will serve as a strategic bridge between FamilySearch and a creative vendor responsible for designing, writing, and publishing content on our behalf. You will think like a strategist, operate like a project manager, and uphold standards like a brand steward - simultaneously.

This role offers substantive, applicable experience for students and recent graduates pursuing degrees or careers in public relations, strategic communications, integrated marketing, experience design, media studies, data analytics, or brand management.

Responsibilities

· Build and maintain relationships with creators, brand ambassadors, and key stakeholders; manage outreach, communications, and follow-up with professionalism and consistency

· Serve as the primary liaison between FamilySearch and our creative vendor; translate organizational goals into clear, actionable briefs and holding deliverables to brand and quality standards

· Apply experience design principles to content evaluation. This includes the ability to assess whether each post, reel, or video inspires someone to explore, share, or connect, not merely scroll past

· Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics; translate data into strategic recommendations

· Support content strategy across social channels with an emphasis on quality, consistency, and alignment with organizational priorities

· Develop and manage Monday.com content calendar

· Collaborate with FamilySearch's area teams around the world to ensure content is culturally informed and locally relevant

· Maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and external partners to keep initiatives aligned and on schedule

Qualifications

· Currently completing or recently graduated (within one year) with a degree in experience design, public relations, communications, marketing, business, data analytics, or a related field

· Available full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm; one-year commitment required

· Based in Utah

· Experience in brand marketing or organic content strategy, whether professional, academic, or self-directed

· Strong eye for design and brand consistency

· Analytical mindset, able to interpret performance data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights

· Highly organized, deadline-driven, and capable of managing creative production workflows with minimal supervision

· Thrives in cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders; brings warmth, professionalism, and adaptability to every working relationship

· Deeply aware of social media trends, platform behavior, and evolving content formats

· A genuine passion for human connection and the stories that unite families across cultures and generations

· Advanced proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a strong plus

Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
