About this role

Field Services Technician – Perfect for Recent Vocational & Technical School Graduates

This role is part of our Mobile Workforce team and requires nationwide travel to support our growing Data Center operations.

Launch Your Technical Career With Hands-On Field Experience

Are you a recent vocational or technical school graduate looking to start a career in technology? At Black Box Network Services, we’re looking for motivated, entry-level Field Services Technicians who want to build real-world skills, work with cutting-edge infrastructure, and grow into a long-term career.

Whether you studied low-voltage systems, networking, electrical trades, or general technical training, this role gives you the perfect pathway from classroom learning to industry experience. We provide the training, mentorship, and support you need to thrive.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage systems, including Fiber Optics, Copper Cabling, Construction/Infrastructure components, and Telecommunications systems.
  • Learn how to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Work with industry-standard tools and testing equipment.
  • Build expertise in cabling, networking fundamentals, and system integration.
  • Partner with experienced technicians who will help you develop your technical abilities.
  • Deliver excellent service while representing Black Box at customer sites.
  • Follow all safety protocols and industry standards on each project.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for early-career talent with strong potential—not years of experience:

  • Recent vocational/technical training OR strong interest in technology, electronics, or mechanical work.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, systems, and installation techniques.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a high-performing team.
  • A positive attitude and motivation to build a long-term technical career.
  • Bonus: Basic knowledge of networking, construction principles, or low-voltage systems is helpful, but not required.
