About this role
The Sherwin-Williams Finance & Accounting Internship Program is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in core finance, accounting, and audit operations.
The 10-week program features a singular finance, accounting, or audit experience with cross-functional exposure to all the Finance Networks within Sherwin-Williams to develop the foundation for what it takes to become a successful leader in our organization.
You will have the opportunity to gain experience in either audit, financial planning and analysis, general accounting, controllership, external reporting, or financial services. You will gain meaningful exposure to the processes and technology that drive financial results for the business, all while developing the skills necessary for a successful finance or accounting career. You will also have the opportunity to visit business group locations to gain an understanding of the different divisions.
This internship program is scheduled to take place during summer of 2026 and will be full in person.
Responsibilities
Day to Day Responsibilities:
You will develop knowledge of finance and accounting processes and best practices, complete special projects solving unique business problems, and educate different groups within Sherwin-Williams on different services your specific department offers.
Leadership Development:
You will complete a project to contribute to the continuous improvement of our finance and accounting processes, allowing you to see the significant role our employees play in Sherwin-Williams' success.
Professional Networking:
You will partner with fellow interns, work with a variety of finance and accounting experts, and network with Sherwin-Williams leaders.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
Must be currently enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
Preferred Qualifications
Be a rising or current Junior or Senior in college or university at the start of the internship program
Have prior school or work experience in finance, accounting, or business
Have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and/or Outlook)
Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.
