As a Growth Advisory associate, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple solutions and apprentice within multiple industries. This allows you to explore the types of industries and problems where you can add the most value and would like to spend time on as you progress in your career.
Our Growth Advisory team works hand in hand with our colleagues in other parts of Advisory to solve the wide-ranging challenges faced by our clients. While each of our clients is unique, we organize ourselves into industry-focused teams to ensure that we are best positioned to bring our deep knowledge of that industry to solve growth-related issues to our clients.
Within Growth Advisory, we have three specific areas on which we advise:
- Commercial & Growth – We help our clients realize organic and inorganic growth by identifying where to make strategic bets in core, adjacent, and transformational opportunities, and improving ROI on marketing and sales investments by converting customer needs into desired experiences and outcomes. Competency areas include corporate growth strategy, brand strategy, customer experience design, demand generation, sales channel enablement, product positioning, operating model design, market intelligence, and value creation planning.
- Operations & Performance – We are a holistic solution across end-to-end business processes including finance, operations, integrated planning, procurement and more that address our client’s bottom-line performance challenges and develop recommendations to turnaround, stabilize, and optimize operations. Competency areas include supply chain optimization, sourcing and procurement, enterprise cost reduction, restructuring, and enterprise business planning.
- Talent & Culture – We empower our client’s growth and transformation through alignment of their organizational structure, service delivery model, change management capabilities, and employee experience. Competency areas include culture transformation, organizational design, employee experience, learning and development, human resources operations, communications, and change enablement.
The associate position offers excellent growth opportunities for talented, highly motivated individuals. As an associate, you will partner with client-focused teams to uncover key insights, reimagine business models, and define strategies that result in clear outcomes. You will work with teams and clients on a day-to-day basis to conduct research and analyze client, competitor, and industry data. You will apply knowledge of business principles and help develop actionable recommendations.

Associate level interviews for the Growth Advisory Practice include a behavioral interview and a strategic case interview.
Your day-to-day may include:
As an associate, you will have the opportunity to develop your career through diverse engagements, coaching, and professional learning. You will be responsible for developing core business and consulting skills across a variety of client issues. Your responsibilities will include:
- Solving complex ambiguous problems and demonstrating strong analytical skills
- Utilizing various data collection techniques, quantitative and qualitative analyses, and supporting data synthesis into meaningful and actionable insights
- Defining and evaluating corporate and growth strategies reflecting market, competitive, and other external drivers
- Communicating in a structured and knowledgeable manner in written and verbal formats to stakeholders
- Conducting research, developing business insights, and increasing business acumen
You have the following technical skills, qualifications, and abilities:
- Strong academic performance while pursuing a university degree
- Targeted Majors include but are not limited to: Business, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Human Resources, Marketing, Economics, Change Management, Organizational Development
- Minimum overall and major GPA of 3.0/4.0 preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work in teams and deliver against tight deadlines in dynamic environments; this may be demonstrated via university projects, internships, self-study, community building, or work experience
- Effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts both in written and verbal formats
- Intellectual curiosity, and motivation to develop professionally, including industry recognized professional certifications
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Critical thinkers that are ready to learn and strategically problem solve on a variety of projects across different functional areas
- Ability to remain agile, work in ambiguous environments, “can-do” attitude
- Positive, client-focused mindset
- The willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed
- Ability to travel to various client sites as needed
