SAIA Corporate Internship Program – Finance-Accounting

The SAIA Corporate Internship Program is a 10-week paid summer internship running from June 1, 2026 to August 7, 2026. Interns gain hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful projects. The program includes a structured learning curriculum, mentorship, job shadowing, Lunch & Learns, and a capstone presentation to the Executive Team.

Position Summary

Supports various departments by performing administrative tasks, assisting with projects, and gaining practical experience.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assists with daily operations and administrative tasks.

  • Prepares and edits documents, presentations, and reports.

  • Helps organize and maintain files and records.

  • Supports team members with project-related activities and assignments.

  • Provides customer service support and answer inquiries.

  • Works with various teams to support cross-functional initiatives and projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Rising juniors or rising seniors only

  • Prior internship or related experience.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn

  • Support general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations

  • Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes

  • Prepare financial statements and internal reports

  • Assist with audit preparation and compliance initiatives

  • Support ad hoc financial projects as assigned
