About this role
Frozen Food Express is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Lancaster, TX location.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports to assist operations and management in understanding current performance in several key processes prior to month end results
- Pull and work with raw data from multiple sources to identify root causes of developing irregularities
- Field requests for ad hoc analyses
- Identify trends, advise company, and recommend actions to Senior Management team based on potential process improvements
- Assist the accounting department in month end close such as preparing revenue and expense accruals
- Assist the accounting department in annual audits by preparing PBCs and explaining financial variances in specific areas of expertise
- Reconciliation of certain general ledger accounts
- Other duties as assigned or needed
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Transportation service and ICC (Innovative) software experience, a plus but not necessary
- Asset Keeper software experience, a plus but not necessary
- Well organized and proper time management
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and available to work until deadlines are met
