About this role
Purpose
The Financial Analyst plays an instrumental role in supporting and identifying business trends and insights for the Commercial team. The Analyst reports directly to the VP of Finance and at the same time acts as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to his/her assigned General Manager. The selected candidate will be an integral part of the channel’s Leadership team, play a key role in navigating business and management challenges, and collaborate across a variety of business partners. This position is responsible for performing financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, inventory management and pricing/margin assessments.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
1. Essential Functions
- Partners with leaders across the channel to contribute to strategic planning efforts and influences positive decision making
- Confirms that the financial strategies and initiatives are integrated with corporate and business strategies
- Prepares accurate and timely financial reporting, including working capital and forecasting reports in support of business reviews or decision-making assessments
- Interprets financial results and provides recommendations for business segment
- Provides leadership and training on key financial and business segment initiatives
- Responds to commercial requests for market data and intelligence
- Assists in the preparation of reports and presentations for strategic suppliers
- Assists in the preparation of reports and presentations for key customers
- Assists in guiding the business intelligence team on the channel's data and reporting needs
- Manages commercial and operational projects that may be assigned by management
- Works across all levels of the business and corporate organizations and must be able to effectively engage and communicate financial needs to the commercial organization

- Strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and financial management principles
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
- Proficiency in creating and analyzing financial models for forecasting and budgeting
- Ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Strong skills in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
- Precision in analyzing financial reports and ensuring accuracy in data
- Ability to convey financial information clearly to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to assess situations, draw logical conclusions, and make informed decisions based on data analysis
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and engage with various stakeholders
- Strong sense of integrity and adherence to ethical standards in financial reporting and analysis
- Flexibility to adjust to changing financial regulations, market conditions, and organizational needs
Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related training equivalent required
- Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
- Experience:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Licenses / Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license – required
- Language:
- Proficiency in English required
- Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus

- While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to travel by foot, car, bus, airplane, or other means of transportation which require sitting, waiting, and standing for long and short periods of time.
- Ability to setup desk equipment including setting up equipment on top of desks and connecting cables and power cords under desk (requiring lifting, bending, pushing, pulling).
