We are hiring an early career Financial Analyst to support our corporate initiatives in either Hopkins, MN or Marshall, MN.  We're looking for someone who is great at analyzing problems, staying organized, and working both independently and as part of a team. If you’re someone who enjoys figuring things out and can manage your own tasks while also collaborating with others, you might be a great fit for this role. 

What You Will Do:

  • Work with our transportation leadership team primarily focused on oceanic freight, analyzing financial data related to container costs. 
  • Work with internal Finance business units to understand oceanic freight terms and prices to identify what stage of transportation (ocean, land, trucking, etc.) is most expensive. 
  • Take external partner and vendor financial data and build them into a DMS. 
  • Contribute to the development of budgets, forecasts, and annual operating plans. 
  • Review plant financial policies and statements for adherence to corporate guidelines.
  • Provide data and schedules for internal stakeholders and external audits as needed.
  • Perform additional accounting duties across fixed assets, A/R, A/P, and other key functions, including month-end closes and ad hoc reporting. 

What We Look For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or experience in a finance or accounting-focused role.
  • Basic understanding of financial analysis and accounting policies, procedures, programs, and processes
  • Basic skills in the development of financial ratios and comparative analysis, or ability to learn.
  • Possession of analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • MS Office Suite experience, including Excel.

What We Offer:

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $99,000 annually with eligibility for a 5% annual incentive bonus, which is based on organizational performance. The salary range represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
