Job Summary:

Serve as Business Partner to Chesterton’s North America Operations and Service Organizations. Working with the finance leadership, prepares management and operating reports as required. The position will be an important support member to Operations and Service Value Streams. Provides detailed analysis and tracking of sales, gross margin, and operating expenses. Assist inventory management at key accounts locations. Assist with contract bid and program proposals through comprehensive financial modeling and overall financial ROI justification. Assist with the preparation of the annual budget.

Job Model:  Hybrid

All fully remote positions have no regular expected onsite scheduled days. Fully remote employees may be required to come onsite due to business needs.

 

Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.

 

On-Site positions will require employees to work on-site for each of their scheduled shifts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the business to effectively provide business insight in order to create business value.
  • Prepares and distributes various monthly reports utilizing various computer programs.
  • Assist inventory management at corporate contract locations.
  • Reviews and conducts analysis as needed on significant budget variances.
  • Prepares periodic and adjusting General Ledger entries and reconciliations as required.
  • Creates new financial reports as requested by management
  • Facilitate adherence to accounting policies and practices within the Operations & Service Value Streams.
  • Assist with the creation, processing and distribution of operating P&L’s. Work with Service Center management to insure full understanding of monthly variances to budget.

  • Represents organization in providing solutions to problems associated with specific projects

  • MS Office products, ERP and BI system concepts, relational database query tools.
  • Strong computer skills, excellent knowledge of spreadsheet software, and comprehensive understanding of on-line accounting systems
  • Ability to drive solutions, strong analytical and quantitative decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment. Excellent communication skills, ability to handle multiple projects, and confidence to work with business unit leaders.
  • Knowledge of financial/accounting principles and practices. Understanding of accounting for service business is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum BS in Accounting/Finance
  • Entry Level; 0-2 years’ experience
  • Experience in general accounting or manufacturing accounting is a plus.

Targeted pay range: $65,000 - $70,000/annually depending on experience

 

Chesterton is committed to paying all its employees in a fair and equitable manner. The pay range associated with this position ($65,000 - $70,000/annually DOE) is Chesterton's good-faith salary estimate for the presently available position. Several roles at Chesterton are considered “leveled” positions and as such, the company reserves the right to advertise and or hire for this position at appropriate level depending on applicant’s skillset/experience. If the salary range to be offered for a “leveled” based position (I, II, III, etc.) is different than what was advertised on any posting, that range will be discussed with the candidate before they are formally invited to interview.

 

Hired applicants may be eligible for additional incentive compensation depending on the level and or function of the position which will be discussed with the candidate prior to formal interview. Payments under these programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

 

Please note that the final salary offered for any position will be based on many factors, including but not limited to: candidate qualifications such as education and experience, internal equity, geographical location, and budget.
