We have an exciting & challenging Finance position for a professional who has demonstrated knowledge in financial analysis and an ability to quickly grasp financial & accounting concepts, policies, and procedures. The Financial Analyst I will report to the Director of Financial Planning & Business Analytics, supporting the FP&A team by assisting in financial data analysis, forecasting, and reporting activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reporting & variance analyses
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Support budgeting & forecasting processes using ERP & BI tools (e.g., JDE, Tableau, PowerBI)
- Extract, clean & analyze large datasets from SQL databases to identify trends and turn into actionable insights
- Analyze financial data & create financial models for decision support
- Develop & maintain dashboards and automated reports for performance monitoring, ranging from operational metrics to cost controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven recommendations, including, but not limited to, assisting in evaluation of potential productivity initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or Computer Science
- 0-2 years’ experience in a Finance or Data Analytics role, with demonstrated understanding of financial modeling & forecasting techniques
- Proficiency in MS Office - specifically Excel & PowerPoint
- Basic SQL knowledge & understanding of relational databases
- Highly detail-oriented, with strong planning & organizational skills
- Comfortable working both independently & collaboratively with different levels of the organization
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and comfortable communicating to gain clarity, when needed
PREFERRED SKILLS, CERTIFICATIONS, TRAINING:
- Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP)
- Experience with SQL, R, or Python
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
- AFP-Certified Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Professional (FPAC)
- INFORMS Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

This position will interact with all levels of the organization, as well as external customers.
GROWTH POTENTIAL:
This role serves as a foundation for advancement to Financial Analyst II or Senior Analyst positions, with increasing responsibility for complex modeling and strategic analysis.
