ABOUT THE CO-OP PROGRAM
Bose Corporation is seeking students to participate in our Co-op Program who share our belief that sound is power. During the six-month co-op, students will have the chance to apply classroom learning in a hands-on work environment. Co-op participants will network across the business to gain diverse perspectives within Bose Corporation. Additionally, co-ops will connect with other students and colleagues, building valuable professional relationships for the future.
Fall Co-op: Candidates must be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) in a hybrid, in-office format from July 13 through December 18, 2026. No relocation assistance is available.
Being currently authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position.
THE ROLE
The Bose Premium Consumer Audio firmware team is looking for a student candidate who is excited by a wide variety of embedded firmware disciplines. You can expect immersion with a number of exciting, new, world class audio products which Bose is developing for future product offerings. Knowing that you had a hand in the critical development of technologies for exciting products you see on the market is a genuinely fulfilling feeling.
We're looking for candidates who are excited to work with embedded firmware and closely with the associated hardware. Involvement with the EE design team, advanced research team, the new product introduction team, vendor partners, and other firmware and product development teams is some of what you can expect with this role.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates have:
- BS or MS candidates concentrating on embedded firmware and hardware designs
- Embedded RTOS or bare metal programming experience on small scale microprocessor units
- C and Python language experience
- Experience with I2C, serial-UART, or SPI technologies
- Relevant project/work experience with any forms of sensors such as Infrared, MEMS (motion), or Capacitive touch sensors.
- Experience with battery charging and discharging firmware, fuel gauge ICs, and battery characteristics.
- Interest or experience deploying real-time algorithms to embedded targets using C
