First shift Packer

The Marzetti Company (Nasdaq: MZTI) manufactures and sells specialty food products. Our retail brands include Marzetti® dressings and dips, New York Bakery™ garlic breads, and Sister Schubert’s® dinner rolls, in addition to exclusive license agreements for Olive Garden® dressings, Chick-fil-A® sauces and dressings, Buffalo Wild Wings® sauces, Arby’s® sauces, Subway® sauces, and Texas Roadhouse® steak sauces and frozen rolls. Our foodservice business supplies sauces, dressings, breads, and pasta to many of the top restaurant chains in the United States.

1. Sweep at end of shift.
2. Check case count and weigh waste.
3. Assist with Master Cleaning Schedule.
4. Assist with other assignments as directed.
5. Empty trash cart as time permits.

Responsible for packaging product in a safe and efficient manner.

1. Pack product.
2. Palletize product
3. Sets up tape machines.
4. Keep cartons available for packers.
5. Keep product buckets empty, using GMP’s to avoid contamination.
6. Make sure bags are properly sealed and coded
7. Ensures compliance to quality, food safety and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer, and government standards in work area.
8. Follow GSO’s and other policies designed to improve safety.
9. Ensure compliance to process and preventive controls as laid out in Food Safety Plan.

1. Works in a manufacturing environment where employee may be required to speak, read, stand, walk, reach, lift and bend while performing job duties.
2. Must be able to stand for a standard 8-10 hour shift, with regular breaks performing repetitive work. Overtime and/or weekend work may be required.
3. Earplugs, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), shirt apparel with no buttons or pockets are required in plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
