Overview:Eagleview, the leader in aerial imagery, is hiring a Field Systems Engineer in Rochester. This position requires good communication skills and the ability to quickly pick up new technologies.
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Flight Systems Engineer to join our team in delivering, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced imaging systems in dynamic and challenging environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, particularly in digital photography, electronics, and mechanical systems. This role requires a hands-on professional with a solid grasp of networking, Windows and Linux systems, and field service work.
Responsibilities:- Assembly, installation, and maintenance of custom camera equipment using custom tools and software.
- Deploy software updates to remote locations.
- Repair and replace hardware components in remote locations.
- Develop process improvements.
- Document service history and hardware deployment.
- Setup, testing and deployment of image capture hardware and software.
- In office, normal business hours.
- Up to 50% travel.
- Two- or Four-year college degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong computer and networking skills using both Windows and Linux.
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to perform consistent, high-quality work.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, fluid environment with emerging processes and procedures.
- Ability to move and lift 75lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
Preferred
- Familiarity with principles of digital photography and general construction of digital cameras.
- Aerial imaging or aircraft maintenance experience.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.

The compensation offered to the successful candidate will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s work experience, education and licenses, work-related training, key skills, the core duties of the role and its associated responsibilities, additional benefits offered, and the location where the work will be performed. This is a full-time, onsite role at our Rochester NY headquarters, with a pay range of $27.35 - $34.00/hour.
