Duties

Removes dishes and trays from tables after meals. Washes tables and counters. Prepares food, operates, break downs, and cleans all equipment assigned to the area for food preparation.,Clean kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks and refrigerators. Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, and silverware. Loads and operate dishwashers. Stores cleaned dishes, glasses and silverware.,Performs a variety of routine manual tasks in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures. Sets up tableware, condiments, and cold menu items such as salads, desserts, bread, and cold beverages on a serving line or tables.,Work is reviewed in progress or upon completion for compliance with instructions and established practices. Responsible to identify and report obvious hazards, malfunctioning equipment, and any other situations that may impact work operations.,Vacuums and shampoos carpets; sweeps and mops kitchen floors. Cleans windows and washes walls. Cleans and sanitizes trash cans; disposes of trash. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must have knowledge of basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures Must have the ability to perform routine manual tasks involving few steps, and be able to read and understand written material. Must have knowledge of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. Complete routine work assignments are completed with little supervision. Ability to understand and follow oral instructions and do simple tasks that are easy to learn. **Your resume should be clear and specific. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
