Schedule:
32 hrs/wk Day Shift
Must work every other weekend and holiday.

 

Job Summary:

This position is physically active and requires standing and walking for the majority of the shift. Responsibilities may include interacting with patients, taking meal orders, delivering food and beverages, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas, and working in the dish room. Training will be provided on all required equipment and job duties to ensure success in the role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with patients and provide excellent customer service. 

  • Take and process patient meal orders. 

  • Deliver food trays, beverages, and other items to patients. 

  • Assist with dishwashing and dish room operations. 

  • Support overall food service operations to ensure a positive patient experience.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred. 
  • No experience is required. Prior food service experience is preferred.
  • Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
  • Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
  • Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
  • Requires the ability to climb ladders.
  • Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.
