Position Summary:
Full‑time, Summer internship (10-12 weeks), Working Hours will be Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM
Remote position (US based)
The FP&A Intern is an opportunity for a student who is excited about Finance, specifically the discipline of Financial Planning and Analysis. In this role, the intern will gain exposure to planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, analysis, and modeling – all critical aspects of FP&A. The FP&A Intern will work alongside other members of the FP&A team, assisting with day-to-day tasks and at least one special project, which the intern will have the opportunity to share with the broader team.
Our Bridgewater location is the corporate office for Catalent.
The Role:
Supporting the monthly forecast cycle for the corporate functions. This will include expense forecasting, interactions with cross-functional teams, forecast submissions, and report outs.
Analysis of a particular topic (TBD), honing critical thinking, problem solving, and presentation skills. Demonstrate the ability to use financial systems, Excel and PowerPoint.
Participate in weekly FP&A team meetings. Engage and collaborate with the team and share progress/roadblocks/goals.
Help tie out actuals vs. forecast vs. budget across sites and functions (revenue, COGS, EBITDA drivers)
Help gather data for leadership requests or urgent CFO/VP asks
Maintain recurring Excel reports (pulling latest data, refreshing pivots, validating numbers)
Hands on experience with Catalent's financial reporting tool, OneStream
Perform other duties as assigned.
The Candidate:
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. Must be an undergraduate/graduate student in Accounting/Finance, or related field of study in pharmaceutical manufacturing or supply chain.
Eligible to legally work in the United States.
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) for a 10-12-week period over the summer.
Ability to multi-task and demonstrate diplomatic skills.
Proficient (excellent) in English verbal and written communication skills to convey and receive ideas and instructions to/from others within and outside the organization.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers and management.
Strong organizational skills.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
Pay:
The expected starting hourly pay range for this position in New Jersey is $20/hour - $24/hour. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
