The FP&A Summer Intern will support the Enterprise Finance team in analyzing financial performance, developing reporting insights, and assisting with key planning and analytical initiatives across the firm. This role offers exposure to the financial operations of a large professional services organization and the opportunity to work closely with finance leaders supporting strategic decision-making.
The intern will gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, planning processes, and business performance management while contributing to projects that improve financial transparency, reporting, and operational insight.
Key Responsibilities may Include
- Assist with financial reporting and performance analysis across business units and corporate functions.
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reviews for senior leadership.
- Analyze key business drivers such as revenue growth, headcount, utilization, and operating expenses.
- Assist in maintaining and improving financial models and dashboards.
- Conduct data analysis and research to support strategic finance initiatives.
- Help identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial and operational data.
- Support special projects related to financial planning, process improvement, and analytics.
- Collaborate with members of the FP&A team and cross-functional partners including operations, accounting, and business leaders.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Interest in financial planning, business analytics, or corporate finance

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $36 - $43 per hour
