What you'll be doing…

FP&A Field Finance Market Team

Move beyond compiling data and help tell the story behind the numbers. The Region facing positions offer opportunities to drive better business partnering and insights, while growing your FP&A leadership and interpersonal skills. You are considered a business partner and your contributions will make a difference to achieve our targets by driving sales, owning the customer experience, maximizing marketing and investing in the team.

This position will report to the East Area Associate Finance Director within the Field Finance organization of the Verizon Consumer Group. This team is embedded within the East Area leadership team to develop a deep understanding of the trends and patterns within the market to identify and execute on opportunities to drive growth. 

Responsibilities

This role will support the following functions:

• Retail VP support such as retail performance management, daily/weekly volume results, KPIs, staffing decisions and productivity measurement.
• Bottoms up volume analysis for risk and opportunity assessment for the Retail channel.
• Overall Region insights on market share, churn and ports.
• Evaluating local offer/action effectiveness, leverage HQ channel analytics to drive market specific insights.
• Other retail related subject matters such as distribution decision support and door profitability assumptions.
• Partnering with Field Finance HQ team on targets.
• Coordinating with Field Finance BI team on reporting.
• Finalizing monthly analyses of trends and budget variance of financial results and KPIs to be used in management reviews and strategic business analysis sessions.
• Performing additional research to enhance business case analysis for pricing and investment decisions support to market specific actions. 
• Identifying and communicate possible scenarios, associated risks and opportunities to include in the business performance reviews.
• Analyzing economic drivers of the business client (e.g. customer churn, renewals).

 

What we're looking for…

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
• Ability to effectively interact with senior leaders

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA).
• A high degree of analytical capability with the proven ability to structure business case around a high-level strategic vision.
• Strong strategic skills, with the proven ability to identify and assess key points, implications and recommendations.
• An advanced understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis methodologies and processes.
• Demonstrated in depth understanding of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.
• Strong analytical, investigative, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $84,000.00 - $161,000.00.
