The Trust and Safety (TnS) engineering team is responsible for protecting our users from harmful content and abusive behaviors. With the continuous efforts of our trust and safety engineering team, TikTok can provide the best user experience and bring joy to everyone in the world. Our team is responsible for achieving goals by building content moderation process systems, rule engines, strategy systems, feature engines, human moderation platforms, risk insight systems, and all kinds of supportive platforms across TnS organization.

Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. It runs for 12 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (XFN) including Product Managers, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, and QAs.
  • Establish public trust by providing solutions to support risk and response business.
  • Focus on escalation handling within the risk and response business.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer2025.
  • Ability to think critically and to formulate solutions to problems in a clear and concise way.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication and excellent teamwork skills; being agile and a self-starter.
