About this role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Full Stack Developer Intern to join our team for the summer of 2026. As a full stack developer intern, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that involve developing scalable and efficient software applications using Swift, Kotlin, React and Java. You will collaborate with our experienced development team to design, develop, test, and deploy new features and applications.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no direct reports.
Essential Functions:
  • Develop front-end user interfaces using React, Redux, and modern JavaScript libraries
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs using Java Spring Boot
  • Collaborate with the back-end team to integrate front-end and back-end component
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall code quality
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by QA or customers
  • Work closely with the product management team to understand requirements and implement new features
  • Contribute to the development of automated tests and deployment scripts 
Competencies:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in React, JavaScript, and Java programming languages
  • Experience with Java Spring Boot framework
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build tools such as Webpack and Babel
  • Understanding of RESTful API design principles and implementation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities 

 

Work Environment:

  • Generally, works in an office environment and visits work sites as needed.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • None

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • One year experience in transportation scheduling or related field.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  •  Experience with containerization using Docker
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or JUnit
  • Participation in open-source projects or personal coding projects 

 

Additional Eligibility Requirements:

  • Experience with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of security best practices and principles (e.g., OWASP)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, including machine learning (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), natural language processing (NLP), or computer vision
  • Experience with mobile app development for iOS and Android, using frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, or native SDKs

 

Position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.
