Job Description:

We are searching for a Full Stack Software Engineer located in Raritan, NJ.

Join our Software Engineering team where you'll work on meaningful projects that directly impact healthcare outcomes for patients and doctors. As an entry-level Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from internal tools and platforms to patient and physician-facing applications. This is an opportunity to grow your skills while making a real difference in healthcare technology.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams of varying sizes, including designers, product managers, data scientists, and clinical experts, to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and services using modern technologies.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and maintain full-stack applications using JavaScript/Node.js and React, contributing to both frontend and backend components

  • Collaborate across teams of different sizes to understand requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software that meets user needs

  • Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to continuously improve code quality and team standards

  • Debug and sove issues across the stack, resolving bugs and improving system reliability

  • Build and optimize scalable web services, APIs, and applications that serve healthcare professionals and patients

  • Learn and adapt to new technologies, frameworks, and tools—including AI/ML technologies and prompt engineering techniques

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives

  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

  • Apply Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives in daily work and team interactions

What You'll Need:

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles

  • Highly motivated self-learner with demonstrated ability to quickly pick up new programming languages, frameworks, and technologies including AI

  • Problem-solving mentality with strong analytical and debugging skills

  • Collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments

  • Communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js (Express.js or similar frameworks)

  • Experience with React or other modern frontend frameworks

  • Experience with Python for scripting, data processing, backend development, or AI

  • Familiarity with Git and version control workflows

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Interest or experience in AI technologies, including prompt engineering and working with AI agents/APIs

  • Understanding of RESTful API design

  • Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$76,000.00 - $121,900.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

ubject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
