What We Are Looking For
The Facilities Group National is seeking a hands‑on, customer‑focused Janitorial Quality Assurance Manager to elevate service delivery and ensure contract compliance across assigned client sites. You will lead inspection programs, coach frontline teams, and partner with operations and clients to achieve measurable quality, safety, and productivity outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong janitorial operations knowledge, a continuous‑improvement mindset, and the ability to influence results across multiple shifts.
This position is based in an aeronautics/ space manufacturing facility.
Multiple schedules are available.
Quality Assurance Manager Responsibilities:
- Build, implement, and maintain a standardized quality inspection program (scorecards, audit cadence, corrective action tracking) aligned to client scopes of work (SOWs).
- Conduct routine and surprise inspections across client sites; document deficiencies with photos, root causes, and time‑bound corrective actions.
- Partner with Site Supervisors and Account Managers to coach teams, close gaps, and verify sustained improvements; escalate recurring issues.
- Analyze quality trends (by site, shift, task, zone); publish weekly/monthly QA dashboards and action plans.
- Validate compliance with SOW frequencies (daily/weekly/monthly/periodic), including restrooms, common areas, waste, floor care, and specialty tasks.
- Lead readiness for client walkthroughs, business reviews, and third‑party audits; present QA results and improvement roadmaps.
- Maintain standards for safety and regulatory compliance (PPE usage, chemical handling, SDS, equipment lockout/tagout); reinforce incident‑prevention behaviors.
- In healthcare and high‑risk environments, ensure infection‑prevention protocols are followed (e.g., isolation rooms, terminal cleans, sharps awareness, biohazard segregation).
- Verify equipment readiness and PM adherence (e.g., autoscrubbers, vacuums, burnishers) and ensure proper dilution and dispensing of chemicals.
- Support onboarding and upskilling: train staff on SOPs, equipment, appearance standards, and client‑specific protocols; certify competencies.
- Collaborate with scheduling/operations to align staffing and periodic projects (floor care, carpet extraction, high dusting) with service windows and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate QA documentation, client communication logs, and follow‑ups in the inspection platform; ensure transparency and traceability.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement using 5S, standard work, and PDCA problem‑solving.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
Quality Assurance Manager Requirements:
- 3+ years of janitorial operations, facilities services, or quality assurance experience.
- Familiarity with industry standards/frameworks (e.g., custodial SOPs, audit scoring, continuous improvement).
- Strong knowledge of custodial methods (restroom sanitization, floor care systems, carpet care, waste/recycling, specialty surfaces).
- Proficient with mobile inspection tools and MS Office/Teams; data‑driven with the ability to turn findings into action.
- Excellent communication and client‑facing skills; able to coach, influence, and hold teams accountable across shifts.
- Reliable, safety‑minded, and familiar with chemical safety, PPE, and SDS practices.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites; reliable transportation.
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent; additional facilities or QA certifications a plus.
