The Future Engineering Group is responsible for research & development of:
- Next generation electric steering systems and sub-systems, including mechanisms, transmissions, sensors, motors and controllers.
- New features & functions ranging from steering feedback enhancements to automated collision avoidance.
- Products for new markets and applications.
The Electronics Engineering Group (subgroup of Future Engineering) is responsible for the synthesis, design and development of electrical hardware and software for sensors, actuators, and mechanisms within the Future Engineering organization. Job assignments are expected to involve a considerable amount of creativity, engineering theory, and individual initiative.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop Software design documents from Simulink models and/or flow diagrams
- Develop Embedded C software from Software Design documents
- Perform unit testing of software modules
- Develop models in Excel Visual Basic to support unit testing
- Develop Simulink Models to support unit testing
- Perform software integration/testing
- Verify EPS system performance with Systems Engineers on bench/In-Vehicle
