About this role

The research trainee will work in the Rehabilitation and Neural Engineering Laboratory at the University of Pittsburgh under the supervision of Robert Gaunt. The trainee will support research investigating how intracortical neural recordings from motor and somatosensory cortex can be used to assess the effects of intracortical microstimulation (ICMS). Responsibilities include organizing and processing neural and behavioral datasets, performing quantitative analyses of neural responses to stimulation, generating figures and summaries for scientific review, and maintaining reproducible analysis code. The trainee will also contribute to scientific writing and manuscript preparation. This role applies core concepts from neural engineering, biomedical signal processing, statistics, and data analysis directly tied to a graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering.


A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position and a Bachelor's degree is Preferred.
