What you’ll accomplish with us

 As a General Accounting Associate], you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

• Review and compare the current supplemental contract file to the current actuarial data base. Research any discrepancies between the two and correct.

• Maintain and process retirement annuities and supplemental contract payments.  Handling of all correspondence related to those payments.  Calculate and prepare the appropriate 1099-R tax forms.

• Balance bank accounts daily, including the investigation of reconciling items.  Make necessary journal entries.

• Prepare various annual statement filings and assist financial staff in doing various tasks related to those and other filings.

• Back up for Accounts Payable and Unclaimed Property Specialist in balancing daily cash accounts.
