Position Summary:
Our General Manager for an Operating Company will report to the SVP, Operations and is responsible for executing the entire business plan. You will have direct accountability for the sales, operations and inventory functions. The successful candidate will have strong experience in leadership within a distribution center environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and assess the overall performance of the distribution center and market to develop the business plan to ensure both top line growth while improving operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Lead, develop and mentor a team of people including sales, operations and inventory staff to define and achieve goals and objectives in support of business plan.
- Maintain key customer relationships as well as developing and implementing strategies for expanding the company’s customer base.
- Lead with compelling strategic vision that is in alignment with the organization’s short and long-term goals and objectives.
- Prepare and recommend budget, expenditures, and appropriations in line with business plan.
- Ensuring Core-Mark, OSHA and DOT standards are met.
- Ensuring effective cooperation and communication with other departments and corporate
- Leveraging technology-based resources to reduce cost and improve service
- Monitor day-to-day processes and activities to ensure overall quality and integrity of distribution center functions are in place.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• 10-15 years of sales and operational experience, responsible for a P&L in a similar warehouse distribution model
• Prior people leadership and development experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (word, Excel, etc.)
