Job Description

Utilize remote sensing/geospatial technologies to provide technician level support for natural resource applications including basic image interpretation, photographic interpretation and analysis, routine data processing and management, map plot composition and production, and documentation, including report assembly and distribution.

Qualifications

The minimum requirements for this position include all of the following:

• Demonstrated ability to process, analyze, and model data in geospatial software (e.g., ERDAS Imagine and Esri ArcGIS Pro). Experience in earth sciences and knowledge of airborne/satellite imagery.
• Professional certification, or relevant coursework in geography, GIS, or remote sensing, and one (1) year of relevant professional work experience.
• OR Bachelor’s degree related to geography, GIS, remote sensing, or physical / biological / environment / natural resource discipline with substantive coursework in geospatial analysis and modeling

• Business Tools – understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word, and proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio with the ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.
