Position Duties
- Coordinate formative assessment activities and implement operational changes based on findings.
- Oversee recruitment event operations, participant engagement, and data collection activities.
- Ensure readiness for recruitment events, including supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Coordinate field staff operations, including training, scheduling, supervision, and evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with HIV testing and consent, linkage-to-care, data security, confidentiality, and field safety procedures.
- Review, reconcile, and monitor field data, documentation, reports, and data quality issues.
- Oversee data submissions and ensure proper documentation of testing, consent, and related activities.
- Coordinate and conduct staff trainings based on CDC guidance and local project needs.
- Monitor program performance and implement process improvements as needed.
- Participate in CDC site visits, trainings, and project-related calls.
- Ensure compliance with incident reporting procedures and report adverse events per CDC and IRB requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of job-related experience or completion of an apprenticeship/internship that sufficiently supplied experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position or any other combination of education and professional experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in HIV or STD surveillance activities.
- Knowledge and understanding of STDs/HIV/AIDS situations and trends, including social, economic, and gender challenges.
- Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Teams).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and exercise good judgment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with diverse populations, specifically populations surveyed by NHBS.
- Ability to communicate ideas and information effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Experience in field data collection.
