About this role

Schedule: Full-Time | Union | Monday-Friday 6:45am-3:00pm (one weeknight call per week and 4-5 weekend)

How you’ll contribute 

GI Technician who excels in this role:

  • Assesses the needs of the GI procedure and provides supplies, instruments, and equipment appropriate to the patient, surgeon, and GI procedure.
  • Ensures the resources are available to implement the plan of care during the GI procedure
  • Demonstrates knowledge and technical skills appropriate to implement the step-by-step process of specific GI procedures
  • Demonstrates appropriate communication skills in all aspects of the position.
  • Demonstrates teamwork in all aspects of the position
  • Documents patient care activities.
  • Performs clerical skills.

What we’re looking for 

  • Education: High School Graduate or equivalent Required Two years of college Preferred Nursing Assistant-Certified (NA-C) required.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Licenses: Nursing Assistant-Certified (NA-C) required
  • Graduate from accredited program for Surgical Technologist preferred.
  • Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. 
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse population.
  • Minimum Work Experience Recent experience as an NA-C is required.
  • Recent experience as OB, GI or Surgical Tech preferred.
