We are looking for a new colleague for the position of Global Unit Head - BJB Electrical, who wants to join the Group R&D change journey.
Role Summary
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden
In the role as Global Unit Head of BJB (Battery Junction Box) Electrical TGRBSEE, you will be a key member of the Pack Electrical Development Section within the Energy Storage Domain in Traton R&D Battery development.
You will be a part of a diverse, skilled and fun management team with a collaborative environment, deep focus on management, technical development and an ambition to improve day by day focusing on our employees, our product and the way we work.
Job Responsibilities
- Own the electrical BJB layout, including integration of electronic and electromechanical components
- Lead design and development of key electrical elements (HV busbars, wiring harnesses, connectors) across the full product lifecycle
- Drive development through pre-development, serial development, industrialization, and field quality phases
- Ensure high-quality design and validation through simulations and testing in collaboration with the validation team
- Lead, coach, and support a global team of engineers, setting priorities and guiding daily operations
- Foster agile ways of working and strengthen global collaboration across teams in Sweden, Germany, and India, as well as within the wider TRATON organization
As our new Group is part of TRATON Group, we are closely collaborating we are working with all brands in the Group. In your role it’s therefore important to have a Group perspective while taking all brands into consideration.
Who You Are
- Solid experience in electrical hardware design and testing; experience with batteries or high-voltage components is a plus
- Ability to provide technical direction, manage a team, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and partners
- Strategic mindset with the ability to guide technology and architecture decisions
- Strong interest in leadership, with prior leadership experience preferred
- End-to-end ownership mindset, from product architecture and design through validation to field performance
- Proactive, positive mindset with a hands-on approach and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Collaborative team player who fosters a supportive and service-oriented work environment
- Ability to balance attention to detail with a broader, system-level perspective
- Fluency in written and spoken English in a global environment

Our global BJB Electrical Team consists of around 15 skilled and motivated engineers located in Sweden, Germany, and India, supported by a dedicated in-house validation group.
The team drives development across the full product lifecycle, from early concept phases through industrialization to field quality, using simulation and testing to ensure robust and reliable solutions.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and at least 4 years of product design/development and/or computer science experience

- Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and at least 2 years of product design/development and/or computer science experience
