Role Overview:

The IHCDA Homeownership Department (HOD) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Marketing Analyst Intern. The successful intern will review the department’s outreach initiatives, assist in organizing outreach events, and support data collection and statistical analysis efforts. Performance will be assessed based on the achievement of specific objectives outlined in this job description, including meeting defined goals, deadlines, and quality standards; collaborating effectively within a team environment; maintaining positive interactions with partners; demonstrating strong customer service skills; and working efficiently in accordance with IHCDA’s policies and standards established by governing entities.

 

Hourly Rate:

The hourly wage for this position traditionally starts at $16.24 per hour for current undergraduate students and $17.24 per hour for those with an earned bachelor’s degree.

 

A Day in the Life:

  • Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical skills in interpreting marketing-related statistics and data. 
  • Possess technical proficiency in software tools such as the Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI. 
  • Identify trends and generate actionable insights through routine analysis of the mortgage and real estate markets. 
  • Effectively communicate key findings to stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making and reporting. 
  • Recognize key metrics relevant to the development and maintenance of the Homeownership Department dashboard. 
  • Assist in the planning, organization, and hosting of events coordinated by the Homeownership Department. 
  • Review current outreach initiatives and provide recommendations to enhance opportunities and capitalize on strengths. 
  • Consolidate and present internship experiences and insights through a final presentation to IHCDA executives.

 

What You’ll Need for Success:

  • An individual currently enrolled at an accredited university, preferably within the State of Indiana, pursuing studies in the fields of Marketing and/or Finance.
  • Demonstrates strong logical and analytical thinking skills. 
  • Proactively anticipates potential issues and effectively communicates concerns related to system enhancements or new Homeownership Programs. 
  • Prioritizes, organizes, and manages tasks and deadlines efficiently, with consistent follow-up on assignments. 
  • Collaborates effectively within team environments and contributes as a team member. 
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds, education levels, and economic circumstances. 
  • Exhibits proficiency in public speaking and presentation delivery. 
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Acts with initiative and requires minimal supervision.

 

Benefits of Employment with the State of Indiana:

This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
