to work for the Kentucky Department of Revenue.
The Office of Registration and Operations, Division of Operations, has an opening for a Graduate Accountant I
position. We are seeking a highly motivated, hardworking individual to join our team.
As a Graduate Accountant I for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, you will be responsible for compiling and
analyzing financial data for auditing purposes between the Department of Revenue financial postings.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Creating eMARS financial documents.
Performing detailed and technical monthly reconciliations using various DOR and Finance systems for
electronic payments.
Ensuring the safety and confidentiality of taxpayer information, data, and records.
Working with other areas within the Division when necessary.
Performs other duties assigned.
Additional / Supplemental information:
Must successfully complete a background investigation including an FBI criminal history record check
(fingerprint check).
Must comply with all tax laws.
Mostly at a desk using a computer and telephone.
Some travel for training and education.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree (which includes twenty semester hours or thirty quarter hours in accounting).
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
Professional experience in Kentucky State Government accounting will substitute for the education on a year- for-year basis.

Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
