Graduate Machine Learning Researcher

As a Machine Learning Researcher at IMC, your work will directly impact our global trading strategies. You will leverage your superior analytical, mathematical, and computing skills to improve existing models and develop new ones. Machine Learning Researchers work closely with Traders and Developers in an environment where problem solving, innovation and teamwork are recognized and rewarded.

Your Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and evaluate machine learning models tailored to real trading environments
• Apply rigorous statistical techniques to measure performance, control overfitting, and understand model risk and interpretability
• Design models based upon trading ideas, implement and deploy these models into production
• Maintain best practices to keep our systems logical and consistent

Your Skills and Experience:

• Advanced degree such as a PhD in an applied technical field such as machine learning, computer science, computer engineering, physics, statistics or mathematics is preferred
• Direct experience in applying deep learning, or alternatively an academic track record of publications in a related domain
• Approaches data analysis with rigorous thought processes and strong intuition
• Is a creative thinker who is driven and eager to solve challenging problems collaboratively
• Proficiency in a programming language (Python, C, C++, etc) is highly desired
• Ability to commence full-time employment in February or August 2026
