  • A portfolio-ready capstone and a professional network across the production community.

What You Will Do:

You will have at least 3 weeks of immersive experience training in the field. You’ll work as a Production Assistant on up to 3 of our Los Angeles-based shows (1 week per show) honing you’re on the ground production knowledge and skillset.

Other responsibilities include:

Script-to-Screen Workflow

Post Production & Delivery

  • Help post dept with data management across our active slate.

  • Compare post schedule against air/stream dates.

  • Support coordination of cuts (editor’s, director’s, producer’s, studio, network) and track delivery requirements, clearances, and music cue sheets at a logistics level.

Production Support

  • Compile competitive and operational research (e.g., tax incentives by jurisdiction, vendor comparisons, facility availability and options).

  • Prepare briefing materials, recaps, and grids for Production Executives ahead of meetings.

Administrative

  • Provide operational support across the team, including meeting coordination, database management, distribution list, onboarding logistics for incoming production personnel, and select production assistant/ coordinator functions.

Graduate Capstone Project

  • Each graduate intern owns one analytical project scoped with their manager and will present to the Studio Production team at the end of the term.

  • Recent examples include a comparative analysis of state/provincial/international production-incentive programs for an upcoming series, a workflow study on dailies-to-cut turnaround, or a pattern-budget benchmarking exercise across comparable series.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Airtable

  • Script coverage/ analysis, presentation skills, and experience on a production site

Education:

  • Graduate level student pursuing a Masters

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
