What You Will Do
Koch Industries is undergoing a rapid digital transformation, investing in multi‑million‑dollar initiatives that turn data into real business value. As an intern on the Advanced Analytics team, you won’t just observe this transformation, you’ll help build it.
You’ll work alongside experienced data scientists, analytics engineers, and business partners who are solving complex, high‑impact problems across manufacturing, operations, and commercial functions. This internship is designed to help you discover where your interests and strengths align. Whether that’s data analytics, data science, data engineering, machine learning, AI, or emerging areas like agentic automation.
You’ll gain hands‑on experience with modern analytics tools, real production data, and projects that matter, while developing skills that prepare you for a future career in advanced analytics.
Some examples of responsibilities or projects include:
- Supporting the development of advanced analytics and machine learning models that improve operational performance, quality, reliability, and decision‑making
- Exploring and analyzing large, complex datasets to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities for improvement
- Building or enhancing data visualizations and dashboards that translate analytics into clear, actionable insights for business and operations leaders
- Assisting with data pipelines and feature engineering, helping ensure data is reliable, scalable, and ready for analytics use
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to understand real business problems and help translate them into analytics‑driven solutions
- Experimenting with AI and GenAI tools to accelerate data exploration, code development, insight generation, documentation, and analytical storytelling while improving workflow efficiency
- Documenting your work and communicating findings through clear storytelling and presentations
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program related to one of the following areas: Data Science, IT, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, or Mathematics
Eligible for full-time employment by summer 2028
Able to work in the US without sponsorship
