About this role
This exciting role is housed within Honeywell Aerospace’s Sensing, Guidance, and Navigation Center of Excellence (SGN COE). As a Hardware Engineer I in the SGN COE, you will join SGN’s storied electrical engineering group. You will be responsible for supporting the hardware design process from concept to production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and specifications and assist in designing complex hardware systems including schematic capture and PCB layout.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of either our Minneapolis, MN, or Clearwater, FL locations on a Hybrid work schedule.

This role will specialize in electronic hardware design for high-performance sensors including microelectromechanical sensors (MEMS) and ring laser gyro (RLG) technologies. As part of the storied team, you will receive expert mentorship and guidance in a culture centered on technical excellence and design speed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the hardware design process from concept to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and specifications.
- Support the design and development of complex hardware systems, including schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Execute worst-case analyses by employing circuit theory.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
- Familiarity with hardware testing and validation processes.
