Position Summary
The Head Golf Professional provides leadership and direction for all golf operations while delivering an exceptional private club experience consistent with the mission and values of The Club at Prescott Lakes.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Head Golf Professional oversees all golf operations while working collaboratively with the Club's leadership team to support membership growth, financial performance, and operational excellence.

The Club at Prescott Lakes is one of Northern Arizona's premier private clubs and is professionally managed by Century Golf Partners.

- Approximately 400 Golf Members

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture
- Lead all golf operations in accordance with the Club's mission and values.
- Foster a culture of hospitality, professionalism, teamwork, and accountability.
- Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and develop Golf Professional associates.
- Conduct regular coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Maintain a highly visible presence throughout the Club.
- Serve as a positive ambassador for the Club and Century Golf Partners.
- Promote collaboration and communication among all departments.
Member Experience
- Deliver exceptional service to members and guests.
- Build lasting relationships with members and their families.
- Know members by name and actively engage with them throughout the golf operation.
- Create an inviting, welcoming, and inclusive golf environment.
- Respond professionally and promptly to member feedback and concerns.
- Ensure every golf experience reflects our purpose of Creating a Better Life for Our Members.
Membership Development
Working closely with the Membership Director, the Head Golf Professional will:
- Participate in membership recruitment initiatives.
- Conduct golf experiences and tours for prospective members.
- Welcome and integrate new members into the golf community.
- Develop programming that increases golf participation.
- Support member engagement and retention strategies.
- Assist in creating a vibrant and active golf culture.
Golf Operations
Responsible for the overall management of:
- Daily golf operations
- Golf Shop
- Outside Operations
- Tournament administration
- Golf Genius tournament software
- Chelsea tee sheet management (preferred)
- Handicap administration
- Merchandising and inventory
- Pace of play
- Rules of Golf
- Practice facilities
- Cart operations
- Starter and Player Assistant programs
- Daily golf events and programming
Financial Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer the annual operating budget.
- Monitor departmental revenues and expenses.
- Manage labor expenses.
- Oversee merchandising performance and inventory controls.
- Review monthly financial statements.
- Recommend capital improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial performance while enhancing the member experience.
Collaboration
Work collaboratively with:
- General Manager
- Director of Agronomy
- Membership Director
- Food & Beverage Director
- Athletic Director
- Controller
- Member Services Team
to ensure a seamless and exceptional club experience.
Qualifications
Required
- PGA Member in Good Standing.
- Minimum of three to five years of progressive golf leadership experience.
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
- Strong financial and business management experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional member service.
- Ability to recruit, mentor, and develop associates.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Private Club experience.
- Golf Genius expertise.
- Chelsea reservation system experience.
- Merchandising experience.
- Tournament operations experience.
- Multi-department leadership experience.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by club operations.
