About the job

Show and tell compelling, creative stories to market Search, YouTube and Google AI to the industry and across our three core audiences. We are looking for a market architect to own the strategic positioning that defines Google’s value proposition to the world’s largest businesses and the sellers who support them.

In this role, you will be the primary strategist behind our go-to-market Global Ads Narratives, shaping the arguments and evidence that earn trust from C-suite executives and decision makers, sparking conviction in our global Sales teams. You will craft an engaging stance that is substantive, credible, and rooted in a deep understanding of the digital advertising economy. You will anticipate our participants' moves and know what it takes to keep our position on top.

You will work at the intersection of our Product, Sales, and Global Insights Teams—translating technical product information into a sharp positioning framework to win market share from engagement. You will set the standard for how we show up in high-stakes market conversations, from the themes we lead at onstage in global keynotes to the specific claims our teams use to win market share from the participant. You write with the authority of a subject matter expert and the strategic precision of a consultant.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $219,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google.

Responsibilities

  • Define the core themes and engaging arguments that dictate how Google Ads messaging engages with the market.
  • Lead the messaging for our Global Ads Narrative – the definitive strategic narrative for Sales, refreshed three times a year to reflect the rapid velocity of our product launches and shifts in the macro environment.
  • Partner closely with the Global Market Insights team to identify and prioritize the data-backed proof points (first-party and third-party) needed to neutralize participant narratives. You’ll also guide our research and message testing needed to make our content indestructible.
  • Own the strategic arc of our industry events and executive communications.
  • Use generative AI tools for deep-dive research, data synthesis, and narrative iteration, setting the standard for how technology is used to sharpen strategic thinking.
