About this role
About the Department
Answers telephone; pre-certify clients, route calls, answer general information questions. Uses a computer to enter information on clients, issue and update EBT cards. Assists clients in filling out surveys, participant agreement, and voter application forms. Educates participants and caretakers on rules and regulations of the WIC Program. Records information in Crossroads web based computer system and makes sure information is accurate. Gathers basic information for certification including height, weight, and hemoglobin. Reports needs and problems of families, to nutritionist or supervisor for further action. Determines income eligibility for the WIC Program and schedules appointments. Sends appointment and follow-up letters to participants and issues identification folders; assists with nutrition classes and activities. Assists with outreach efforts and vender liaison duties for the agency. Commutes to Work in outreach clinic at Philippi and Parsons as required. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Must be able to pass a written test at the eighth grade level.
