About this role

JOB SUMMARY: Performs a variety of recruitment functions as assigned for specific areas of the hospital. Includes, but is not limited to:

  • Consistently complies with all federal and state employment laws/regulations along with all Forrest General Hospital policies and procedures.
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle for assigned departments and/or positions.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for assigned positions
  • Foster relationships with directors, managers, and employees.
  • Develop and execute recruitment plans to meet organizational needs.
  • Provide guidance to internal and external applicants.
  • Maintain and update electronic records on various platform systems. 
  • Ensure hiring managers and employees comply with employment and hiring policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. 

 

 

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:  Includes the following:  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of how the law relates to the ADA Amendments Act of 2008, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act and other employment laws as they apply to recruitment, in addition to Forrest General policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned job requisitions and the new hire.
  • Develop recruitment goals and objectives by developing and executing a rolling recruitment plan.
  • Take personal responsibility for the quality, quantity and timeliness of work and achieve excellent results with little oversight.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact with hospital administration, leadership, co-workers, physicians, patients, and other business sources in a professional manner.
  • Effectively coordinate with the hiring manager to understand the hiring needs, including the approval of the job requisition, schedule, candidate screening tools, and hiring process.
  • Review new job requisitions daily to ensure the requisition is accurate and can and should be posted.
  • Assist the hiring manager/director with screening applications and scheduling interviews, if necessary.
  • Proactively source passive candidates through various job boards, social media, community events, email campaigns, and utilizing Symplr Recruiting, Sourcing, and Reference Assessment platforms.
  • Complete vetting of all applicants to be offered, including NSOPW, OIG, Medicaid, PSV, references, and any other required vetting and all are dated within 30-days of the orientation date. 
  • Verify that the applicant meets all job requirements, including education, work experience, licensure, and certifications. 
  • Extends job offers, discuss pay, benefits, schedule, and orientation requirements.
  • Schedule pre-employment processing appointments.
  • Complete Personnel Action Form (PAF), recruitment incentives, educational scholarships, and others, accurately and timely.
  • Establish and foster relationships with colleges, universities, and professional associations.
  • Conduct community outreach by educating the public about healthcare careers.
  • Attend career fairs, job fairs, association conferences, and other events that will aid in recruiting for the organization.  Some travel with an overnight stay may be required.
  • Provide guidance to managers, directors, and employees to ensure policy and procedures are followed, including communicating positive and negative information.
  • Participates as a team to achieve department and organizational goals.
  • Routinely maintain recruitment tracking systems (i.e., licensure, certification, education, hire documentation, etc.) in Lawson, Access Database, Docuphase, Symplr Recruiting, Symplr Talent Sourcing, Symplr Reference Assessment, Excel Spreadsheets, Talent Sourcing, and Reference Assessments, etc. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education/Skills:  High school diploma or equivalent required.  Bachelor degree in human resources, business administration and/or a related field preferred.  Must have experience working in Microsoft Office Suite, (Excel, One Note, Outlook, and Word), Facebook, LinkedIn, Handshake, and Canva.         

Work Experience:  Prior human resources experience preferred.  Minimum one year of relevant work experience required – clerical, retail sales, marketing, or another related field. 

 

License/Certification: Clean driving record and Valid driver’s license in the state of residency is required. Must provide proof of auto insurance.
