State Technical College of Missouri is accepting applications for full time, 9-month annual contract, exempt, and benefit eligible for an instructor position in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology. Temporary housing may be available on request. Instruction takes place using industry-standard equipment, a one-of-a-kind Temperature Control Lab, and Safety Village, where students gain hands-on experience installing complete HVAC systems in residential homes. The ideal candidate will bring professional HVAC industry experience and a passion for student success., commercial, and industrial HVAC installation, maintenance, repair, and management. Required Qualifications: Required qualifications include a minimum of five years of experience in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning industry; a bachelor’s degree or the willingness to earn one; as well as excellent communication, computer and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include teaching/training experience and E.P.A. 608 Universal Certification.
Job Responsibilities: This position would instruct and develop courses that may include the following topics: residential and commercial heating and air conditioning, fundamentals of electricity, motors and controls, HVAC building automation and energy management controls, commercial refrigeration, and sheet metal. Additional duties include student recruitment, advisement, and college service.
