THE POSITION

• Provide instruction on Construction Trades to high school students for the 2026-2027 school
  year.
• This position is full-time, M-F, 183 days per year

NOTE: Employment is year to year and based on having sufficient enrollment.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Teaching License in Technology Education -or- Construction/Building Trades -or- 6000
  clock hours (3 years) in the past five years in Construction Trades and the ability to obtain a
  Workplace Specialist License
•  Must meet minimum credentialing requirements for Dual Credit Institution

Summary

The instructor must:

• use effective classroom and laboratory management skills and practices to implement program curriculum and conduct daily classroom activities for junior and senior students
• coordinate opportunities for students such as job shadowing and on-site visits
• procure materials/supplies and solicit donations
• develop and revise curriculum and supportive educational activities
• form and work with an advisory committee
• be responsible for maintenance and inventory of equipment and supplies.
• be active in the recruitment efforts of students for and promote the program in order to maintain the necessary enrollment.
• be willing to:
  • become involved in student activities within the school
  • attend workshops and conferences
