Department Overview:
The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as "the heart and soul" of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907. Since 1928, when the doors to Memorial Union opened, the Wisconsin Union has served as the living room of the UW-Madison campus. The Union connects students, faculty, staff, members and visitors through shared cultural, social and recreational events and experiences.

- Must be available to work evenings (until 11:00 p.m.) and weekends during the fall semester to be considered for the position.
- A typical shift would be 3pm-11pm or 5pm -11pm

Salary/Wage Range:
Hourly $15.00 to $15.00Number Of Positions
5Position Summary/Job Duties:
- Accurately record/enter room and parking reservations, reservation lists, e-mail reservations, changes, and cancellations as received
- Answer phones, take messages and transfer calls
- Email, mail, or fax confirmations as received and folios as needed
- Record accurate billing information on reservations as received. Make contacts for additional information as needed
- Manage return of lost and found items
- Organize and monitor items stored at the front desk
- Keep front desk offices neat, clean, and organized
- Perform additional duties as assigned within deadlines set by supervisor or manager
Qualifications:
- Outstanding customer service
- Friendly positive attitude
- Training is provided
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check
Student Status: To be eligible for the Wisconsin Union positions, you must be currently enrolled in a college, university, or highschool (at least 16). It is not permissible to hire a person as a student hourly employee if they are taking credits merely to be eligible for student hourly employment. Review UW Policy 5003- Student Hourly Employment for more information. If school is in break period (summer, spring, winter), applicants must intend to enroll in courses the following semester.
