SUMMARY

Hotel Maya in Long Beach is looking for a full-time, Human Resoureces Coordinator . As a Human Resources Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting payroll operations, union reporting, recruitment, and day-to-day HR functions. This position is ideal for someone with at least one year of California payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and a passion for helping team members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Including but not limited to:

  • Assist with weekly payroll processing.
  • Monitor and follow up on time records.
  • Generate monthly union reports, process check requests, and reconcile union accounts.
  • Support hourly talent recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
  • Answer questions, provide forms or directions, and promptly refer complex situations to the Director of Human Resources.
  • Assist with day-to-day human resources functions, including employee relations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for team member questions.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Minimum 1 year processing California payroll (Ceridian / Day Force payroll experience a plus).
  • Proficient in Windows & Excel, including creating spreadsheets and formulas.

EDUCATION

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred

  • $26.00 per hour
